NEW CONVENTION CENTRE TO BE OPENED  IN OSTRAVA BY CLARION

Clarion Congress Hotel Ostrava nowadays offers accommodation in 169 rooms including 27 suites. Hotel´s spacious conference facilities consist of a congress hall and 8 conference rooms of up to 670 delegate overall capacity. Some bedrooms underwent an extensive renovation on the occasion of the Ice Hockey World Championschips few years ago.

Current construction plan includes renovation of the remaining 50 bedrooms, hotel restaurant, kitchen and  most importantly enlarging conference facilities to 1350 seat capacity thanks to new congress hall and other conference&meeting rooms.

„The hotel will remain in operation while renovations are underway. Since renovation works will only be conducted in a part of the hotel building, services provided to our guests are not to be significantly affected,“ said Mr. Antonin Spacil, the project manager of CPI Group.

The entire hotel renovation and convention centre construction are scheduled for completition in spring 2013, when the newly renovated hotel shall welcome its quests of e.g. prestigious Ostrava Golden Spike international athletic meeting.

The CPI Group hotel portfolio currently includes 18 hotels throughout the country. One of them is now being renovated and will join the Choice Hotels International hotel chain after the renovation works are completed. CPI Hotel is the exclusive Choice Hotels International representative within the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Under reconstruction is now Clarion Congress Hotel Olomouc (ex. Sigma Hotel) which will re-open in September 2013.
